What Are Roman Numerals?
Roman numerals are a numeral system developed in ancient Rome over 2,000 years ago. They use combinations of Latin letters (I, V, X, L, C, D, M) to represent values. Unlike the decimal system, Roman numerals have no symbol for zero and rely on adding and subtracting symbols to form numbers.
